Dateline Africa: 4-11-26
It is pretty amazing and we haven’t even seen an African animal yet (unless you count Carl’s big 5 of pigeon, seagull, cow, horse, and goat) except for ostrich and penguins.
Last night’s African Luau was nothing short of FUN! Lots of food (we ate ostrich…and, no, it doesn’t taste like chicken, but is more like beef) and entertainment. We practiced our drumming skills.
Today we went on a South African wine tasting tour. We toured 3 towns with 2 tastings. In between towns we stopped for lunch on our own in a town called Franschoek for a quick lunch and music at a market/craft fair. Think Elevated Shelby Art Fair in Africa. The musician played chords on his bass (I didn’t guess this…Carl pointed this out). Another good day.
Tomorrow a flight to Durban for safari times.
